I don't think it's boring at all. It's a great car. I just don't like the center console too much though.

I agree on the center console styling. But there is one redeeming grace. Volvo designed the interior so you don't have to look down at all the knobs/switches. Every button on the console is tied into the nav screen, keeping your eyes closer to the road ahead. Want to adjust your seat heat level? Toggle the level from the button and glance at the screen to make sure you set it right. Etc.

I have to admit, it is really beyond functional, and simple, but it just feels a bit outdated. Know what I mean.

Another thing that gets lost in translation with these pictures are the metallic accents. In person they really help enhance the otherwise overly conservative styling.

This is one of those cases where pictures don't do justice to the actual car.
